Sketch Named Winner in Enterprise Tech 30 2020 List, Early-Stage Category

Awarded spot on second-annual list of “the most promising private companies in enterprise tech” by prominent venture capital investors in the sector

THE HAGUE, Netherlands--()--Sketch, the digital design platform that helps teams design better products, today has been named to the second-annual Enterprise Tech 30 2020 list as one of the most promising private companies in enterprise tech.

Issued by Wing Venture Capital, the Enterprise Tech 30 is an exclusive list of the most promising private companies in enterprise tech, as determined by an institutional research process with 96 prominent venture capitalists in the sector. The companies are categorized by total capital raised in three categories: early-stage ($25 million or less), mid-stage ($25 million to $100 million), and late-stage ($100 million or more). For the second consecutive year, Sketch has been named within the top ten of the early-stage category.

Sketch was founded in 2011 with a really simple goal — help people design better products. We knew developers were not satisfied with the tools available to them and that design was increasingly becoming the foundation of almost every business,” said Pieter Omvlee, CEO and Co-founder. “We’ve done things differently from day one, from rethinking how design tools should work to building a fully remote team, and we’re honored to be recognized by leading enterprise investors for the second year in a row.”

Today, Sketch’s macOS app and cloud-based collaboration tools are used by more than one million paying customers, including teams at Google, Facebook, Nintendo, and more. Sketch’s platform supports the entire product creation process, from design to development, enabling designers to easily create, share and collaborate on their work with team members across an organization. Over the past year, the company hired nearly 50 new remote team members, raised $20 million in Series A funding from Benchmark, and launched the public beta of Sketch for Teams.
