Coalition for the Homeless Announces First Step’s 2020 Women Mean Business Luncheon, Honoring Universal Standard Clothing Company

Lisa Evers of WNYW Fox 5 News Will Emcee the Event on May 1st, Celebrating the Coalition’s Groundbreaking Job Training Program for Homeless and Low-Income Women

NEW YORK--()--Today, Coalition for the Homeless announced that the 26th Annual Women Mean Business Luncheon – which benefits the First Step Job Training Program for homeless and low-income women – will be held on May 1st, 2020 at The Plaza Hotel. Inclusive fashion brand Universal Standard, a valued First Step partner, will be recognized with the Corporate Heroes Award at the event. Lisa Evers, Reporter, FOX 5 NY, will serve as emcee for the 3rd time in the event’s history. The luncheon will also include remarks from First Step graduates – women whose lives have been transformed by the program.

For the past 26 years, the Women Mean Business Luncheon has been bringing together more than 400 of New York City’s most accomplished and engaged leaders to support First Step. Past luncheons have featured notable speakers including Eve Ensler, Arianna Huffington, Hillary Clinton and Ashley Graham. The 2020 luncheon keynote speaker will be announced soon.
