AmeriHealth Caritas Launches In Reach, a New Publication Dedicated to the Vital Issues of Health Care for the Nation’s Most Vulnerable

By examining challenges faced by people living in poverty or with a disability, In Reach will chart paths to help these individuals achieve better health and maximum independence.

PHILADELPHIA--()--AmeriHealth Caritas, a national leader in Medicaid managed care, announces the launch of In Reach, a groundbreaking new publication providing insights and analysis on the issues facing people with limited access to the social supports essential to well-being. In Reach advances critical discussions on health care trends, emerging industry issues, and cost-effective and innovative solutions that help break down barriers to quality care and change lives for the better.

Each issue of the publication will examine how social determinants such as education, transportation, employment, food security, safe environments and housing impact overall health and a person’s ability to achieve maximum independence. In Reach will also feature essays, stories and research that are top of mind among providers, government officials, caregivers, health care experts and community organizations involved in the care and support of vulnerable populations.

We created In Reach as an opportunity to both start and advance conversations about what the reality is for those living in poverty or with a disability, and what is needed to help them find a better quality of life and achieve maximum independence,” said AmeriHealth Caritas Chairman and CEO Paul A. Tufano. “Through real-life examples and expert insights, the journal illustrates how access to quality health care transforms lives, and how it can help millions of people achieve their American dream — how those dreams can be in reach for everyone,” said Tufano.

The publication can be accessed online at www.amerihealthcaritas.com or by contacting the company directly.
