PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brian Communications, a national strategic communications consultancy, has added Bill Marimow and David Demarest as Senior Advisors. Marimow is a two-time Pulitzer Prize recipient and former editor-in-chief of The Philadelphia Inquirer. Demarest, former White House communications director, was most recently vice president for public affairs at Stanford University.

While serving as publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Tierney recruited Marimow to run the newsroom. He previously served as editor-in-chief of The Baltimore Sun and vice president of news for National Public Radio (NPR). Marimow also taught at the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University. He most recently worked as the vice president of strategic development for The Inquirer.
Prior to his role leading communications at Stanford University, Demarest served in EVP roles at Bank of America and Visa International and was also communications director in the administration of President George H. W. Bush. Additionally, he held the top leadership position in several national associations for public relations and government relations, most recently as chair of the Public Affairs Council in Washington, D.C. Demarest continues to teach at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
