EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MOX Networks (“MOX”), a leading fiber optic network specialist, announced today expected completion of its exclusive new Columbus to Ashburn route in Q2 2020, which has been under construction for the past eighteen months. The announcement coincides with the launch of its new corporate brand identity and tagline under the name MOX.
Founded in 2013 and privately owned by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, the founder of NantWorks, a network of health and technology companies, MOX was created to build the network that would "converge ultra-low power semiconductor technology, supercomputing, secure advanced networks, and augmented intelligence to transform how we work, play, and live." Under the leadership of President and COO, Justin Melnikoff, MOX has built and delivered unique, high capacity network infrastructure, across North America and Japan.
With the North American market experiencing an accelerated growth period bringing 353 million Internet users and five billion networked devices/connections by 2022,* and continued exponential expansion between North America and Asia, MOX is focused on delivering the global long-haul, regional and metro requirements that will enable such developments.
The new Columbus to Ashburn route, the only dark fiber route available across West Virginia, provides an avenue of immediate support for large bandwidth requirements from the region’s major industries.
“As our new Columbus to Ashburn route demonstrates, for the past six years MOX has focused on creating dedicated relationships with world class companies, in order to design, build, and deliver highly custom fiber solutions,” states Justin Melnikoff, President and COO, MOX. “Our new brand identity reflects a pivotal point in our journey with MOX reaching the capacity, maturity, and momentum to deliver a network and model to enable Dr. Soon-Shiong and our customers’ infinite capacity for business growth and performance.”
MOX’s new brand identity leads with the new tagline “Infinite Capacity” and is part of the company’s strategy to further grow its business and meet some of the largest and most complex network challenges.
“This is a very exciting new phase for us and marks a strategic milestone for our business,” adds Leslie Reid, Vice President of Marketing, MOX, who recently joined MOX, spearheading the strategic rebrand. “The passionate network experts here at MOX are uniquely positioned to deliver on the infinite capacity that sophisticated customers desire and require, in order to support such exponential growth in capacity demands.
MOX will officially launch its new brand at the Pacific Telecommunications Conference (PTC) taking place January 19-22, 2020 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
