Cindy Sovine Joins Indo Expo

Growing the hemp vertical of the leading cannabis trade show

DENVER--()--Indo Expo, the country’s leading forum for the cannabis industry, signed on esteemed government relations consultant and lobbyist, Cindy Sovine. Taking up the new Hemp Program Coordinator role, Sovine will be directly responsible for curating workshops, seminars, and content related to the hemp sector.

“The hemp industry is booming, and we couldn’t be more privileged to have a respected professional of 22 years joining us to lead our brand and events in this vertical nationwide,” says Chris Olson, Indo Expo’s chief executive officer.

Concurrently, Sovine consults and lobbies for trades beyond hemp, including medical and retail marijuana, technology, and alternative energy. Her reputation precedes her for creating regulatory infrastructures and influencing state policies. In addition to passing numerous cannabis industry and social justice bills, Sovine was the Lead Political Strategist on the Decriminalize Denver Campaign, the nation’s first successful campaign to decimalize psilocybin, as well as on the statewide effort to amend the Constitution in 2018 (Amendment X) to ensure Colorado’s hemp laws remain competitive nationwide.

In her new role with Indo Expo, Sovine will facilitate programming designed to coordinate and rally political action around the FDA‘s latest assault on hemp and the USDA Interim Rules. Additionally the program will include everything one needs to thrive in the hemp industry, from where to get your seeds and clones, how to sell your biomass without losing the farm, processing and manufacturing, industry trends, supply chain, compliance, and more. Additionally, she will pilot a consumer-driven hemp awards program that will be presented on January 25th.

Together, Indo Expo and Cindy Sovine aim to help shepherd the hemp industry into a space balancing regularity and regulation, growing this platform to support the businesses, entrepreneurs, and products within it through access to education.
