JAKARTA, Indonesia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Indonesia Masters 2019, the largest and most prestigious professional golf tournament 8 years in a row in Indonesia was held on 12-15 Dec. at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club in Jakarta. It is the flagship tournament in the Asian Tour, the third largest professional golf tour in the world, and one of only 6 members of the International Federation of PGA Tours. Congratulations to golfer Jazz Janewattananond from Thailand, he finally shot his way to victory and won the championship. Hytera, a leading global provider of professional and private communications networks, provided professional communications solutions to ensure the smooth operation of this important major event.
There were 144 professional golfers from over 30 countries that joined the game, hundreds of media friends and golf fans also attended the event. To provide a comfortable and high-grade environment, the facilities in the Royale Jakarta Golf Club included locker rooms, sauna, spa massage area, VIP rooms, a 300-meter practice range with 24 lanes, a short game area and a gallery of shops. Hytera’s radio networks provided multiple stable channel frequencies across the whole golf course, within the facility buildings and other areas.
To ensure success of the game, a vast number of working teams had to be established, such as a scoring team, rules committee, Asian Tour, operations team, OB Golf (EO), Royale Jakarta Golf Club, media center, Physio, doctor, hospitality, security, TV, food and beverage, etc. An advanced Hytera digital radio communications network consisting of repeaters, mobile radios and 100 handheld radios were set up and tested prior to the event, in order to make sure staff from different positions in the facility buildings and on the golf course can communicate with each other clearly and fluently through different channels. Hytera's radios are also compliant with MIL-STD standards and are IP54 water-proof, preventing breakdown caused by any incidents. Aside from crystal clear audio and different types of calls, this network also supports messaging, work order management, etc.
This is the 3rd consecutive year Hytera supported Indonesia Masters as Official Communications Partner. “Overall, all the digital radios were in good working condition, all the channels frequencies were also working fine. We didn’t receive any major complaints regarding any radio delay from the Scoring team”, Mr. Evan, Chief Engineer from organizer OB Golf said. “It is also very helpful of Hytera to provide the channel frequency label on every digital radio. Really appreciate the help.” Hytera has been dedicated to PMR industry for more than 25 years, and has always been committed to applying world-leading technology and producing reliable communications in complex environments to serve local communities and markets.
