ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As one of Central Florida’s largest employers with more than 800 employees, FINFROCK recognizes the importance of professional development as an invaluable investment in attracting and retaining top talent.
Inspired by the book “Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy Seals Lead and Win” by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, future leaders in FINFROCK’s manufacturing department are learning how to develop high performance teams and that leadership at every level is the most important factor in whether a team succeeds or fails. The 10-week class offered to peer-nominated employees teaches leadership principles learned “on the battlefield” that parallel leadership in the business world, including how to “own” mistakes and use them as lessons, stay focused on the mission and develop a plan to accomplish it.
“The principles and concepts described in the `Extreme Ownership' book are spot on in terms of what we look for in our leaders,” explained John Blanchard, EVP of Manufacturing and Air Force veteran. “The primary goal of the course is to teach management principles based on team-oriented thinking. We’re already seeing tremendous results from our employees who have not had the opportunity for this type of mentoring elsewhere.”
In the almost 75 years FINFROCK has been in business, the company has evolved to be a single-source, vertically-integrated design-build company that offers exceptional customer value by delivering buildings as a product rather than a series of services. This model greatly reduces a client’s overall risk, lowers project costs and accelerates schedules.
FINFROCK has more than quadrupled in size in the past three years, due to significant projects including hotels, student housing and luxury multifamily residential properties. Between 2016 and 2022, FINFROCK will deliver hotel and student housing projects totaling over 6,200 rooms. As a result of this increased volume of work, FINFROCK is actively hiring more than 80 full and part-time positions across all areas of the company including hourly positions in its 93-acre manufacturing plant. FINFROCK is a single source of responsibility for complete, finished buildings. As a result, we offer a low risk, cost effective, faster method of building. The combination of our delivery process, technologies, and building system cut onsite construction time nearly in half; providing substantial economic benefits to projects.
