“I am excited to bring the range of my experience to advance the mission of United Rheumatology - advocating for private practice rheumatologists, like me, across the country,” said Dr. Concoff. “This newly created role will allow me to leverage United Rheumatology’s Clinical Guidelines and analysis of the data collected in its real-world, EMR database to evolve the care we provide to patients by creating and validating initiatives that improve patient outcomes while reducing cost. I am honored to give voice to the quality and importance of the work done every day by United Rheumatology members and will use this new approach in collaborating and negotiating with the varied stakeholders with which they interact, to facilitate the success of their practices.”

Dr. Concoff is based in California and will spend significant time working with rheumatology practices throughout the country on value-based, clinically-integrated care delivery.

“It has been a pleasure getting to know Andy through his work on the Medical Policy Committee (MPC). Andy’s extensive understanding of clinical and economic data on rheumatologic disease and his strong relationships with a wide range of rheumatologists throughout the country enhances the current capabilities of our clinical team. I look forward to working with Andy in defining and implementing value-based precision medicine programs that empower rheumatologists by utilizing clinical data to support their independent decision making,” stated Douglas Tardio, President, CEO of United Rheumatology.

“It is with gratitude and confidence that I welcome Andy to the UR team. UR and I have been fortunate to have input and support from the remarkable team of rheumatologists that forms our MPC. Now, as UR has grown, so too has the scope of our engagement on many fronts: developing our data capabilities; supporting unique clinical trials, working with rheumatologists and payers to define value and quality, and more. While I continue to dedicate myself to UR’s goals and future, having Andy to work with side by side will more than double our capabilities- his contribution will be far more than additive. Andy is a confident and confidence-inspiring leader who has shown the ability to work effectively with a very diverse group of partners,” said Max I Hamburger MD, FACP, FACR, Founder and Executive Chairman, URLLC.
