Legacy Healthcare Leads IHCA Silver Achievement Quality Award Winners with Three Out of Five Winners (Spots) Along with Director of Nursing and Administrator of the Year

SKOKIE, Ill.--()--Legacy Healthcare recently won three out of five coveted IHCA 2019 Silver Achievement in Quality Awards for the Grove of Fox Valley, The Grove of LaGrange Park and Warren Barr Lincoln Park. Also, Legacy Healthcare (staff) won IHCA’s Director of Nursing of the Year for Leida Masikat’s leadership at Warren Barr Lincolnshire and Administrator of the Year for Shilpi Chona’s leadership at The Grove of Evanston.

The IHCA awards recognize facilities and individuals who have made significant strides in the Long-Term Care industry through innovative programming, quality of care, and outstanding accomplishments. It also rewards for care provided in Illinois facilities daily, census trends, antipsychotic usage, rehabilitation states and more.

“Legacy Healthcare has earned a reputation for innovation, service and clinical sophistication in the skilled nursing field,” says Jamie Dlatt, COO of Legacy Healthcare. “It would be impossible for us to maintain and bolster our reputation without these types of leaders in our company.”

Leida Masikat joined Legacy and Warren Barr Lincolnshire a year-and-a-half ago and hit the ground running making significant changes with stabilizing staffing while increasing customer satisfaction from 80% to 98%. Additionally, the 2019 annual survey was the best in the history of the facility.

During Shilpi Chona’s tenure as Regional Administrator for The Grove of Evanston and Warren Barr Lincoln Park, the facility has won multiple recognitions and awards of its own, including the Silver Award through the American Health Care Association (AHCA)’s National Quality Award Program. Her stewardship as an Administrator has been very successful and fulfills the mission of IHCA’s award—it truly is a perfect fit.
