LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law now offers an on-campus Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Privacy Law and Cybersecurity, launching in Fall 2020. The on-campus LLM in Privacy Law and Cybersecurity will require 24 units of study on-campus.
With privacy law and cybersecurity at the forefront of current events and legislation, this new degree provides guidance for companies and individuals to construct necessary legal parameters in our increasingly interconnected world. Students will have the opportunity to explore the legal framework concerning information privacy in the U.S. and common legal issues and emerging law in the areas of privacy and cybersecurity.
The new program prepares graduates for leading roles in protecting business and individual data with essential laws, policies and best practices that preserve digital integrity today. Applicants to the LLM degree are required to have earned a first degree in law (JD, LLB or equivalent).
