NEW ORLEANS--()--Levelset, a construction payment management provider, today announced the Levelset Sales Academy, an eight-week software sales training program for local New Orleans job seekers new to the technology industry. This program is designed for people of any experience level who wish to develop inside sales skills at a high-growth technology company. Upon successful completion of the program, participants may have the opportunity to move into a sales role at Levelset, which could see average on-target-earnings of $75K per year. The company plans to hire 60 sales professionals through this program by the end of 2020 and is committed to bringing in at least 25-to-35 New Orleans locals.

The New Orleans 4.5% unemployment rate is slightly above the 3.8% national rate, and the growing technology sector has the ability to alleviate that gap. Business Facilities Magazine recently included New Orleans on its Sweet Spots for High Tech list, and Levelset hopes to contribute to this growing opportunity by more effectively training and supporting those that are inexperienced in the technology space. Vice President of Revenue and New Orleans native, Martin Roth, has seen firsthand how this burgeoning industry is advantageous for the New Orleans economy. “The rapidly expanding tech community in New Orleans needs to foster and grow local residents into technology professionals to boost our industry and economy. Levelset is forging the path to level up our local talent," said Roth.

“Through the Levelset Sales Academy, we are putting ourselves in a position to hire people who may not have the software sales experience we usually require,” said John Weirich, Sales Enablement Manager at Levelset. “If people have the passion we are looking for, we know we can provide the resources and training they need to be successful.” Whether candidates are experienced sales professionals, just starting out, or pivoting in their career, the Levelset Sales Academy will give participants thorough training in the entire software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales cycle. Additionally, participants will:

  • Have direct access to executive leadership in a successful high-growth startup
  • Gain exposure to a rapidly scaling business, including learning sessions on growth strategy, fundraising, establishing a strong brand, and defining the customer experience
  • Work in a purpose-driven business environment
  • Have rapid career progression opportunities

In recognition of Levelset’s efforts to strengthen the technology sector in New Orleans and provide jobs through the Levelset Sales Academy, the company was recently presented with two resolutions from the House of Representatives and Governor’s Office, awarded by Louisiana State Representatives Royce Duplessis, Neil C. Abramson, and John M. Stefanski. Levelset remains committed to training community members for professional careers in software sales and contributing to the long-term success of the New Orleans technology industry.

“Levelset is exactly what we need in Louisiana. Technology is a growing sector in our state, and when we can link it to the construction industry, we get the perfect pairing,” said Representative Stefanski. “Louisiana is striving to create new job training, and Levelset's approach is unique and effective.”
