DETROIT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TCF National Bank (TCF Bank), a subsidiary of TCF Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: TCF), announced it has named Brendon Tripodo as managing director of wealth management. In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategy of the wealth management line of business that includes private banking, trust, investment management and retirement planning services.

Tripodo joins TCF Bank with nearly 30 years of banking experience and has held leadership roles with Key Private Bank, Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management, Fifth Third Private Bank, and SunTrust Wealth Management.

Tripodo earned his MBA from John Carroll University in Ohio and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University. He earned a Certified Financial Planner designation in 1998 and is a graduate of Leadership Lake County, Leadership Collier and the Civic Leadership Institute – Cleveland. Tripodo serves as trustee for the Lakeland Foundation, which benefits Lakeland Community College and its students. He also served on the Advisory Board for University Hospital’s Ahuja Medical Center.
