SAN FRANCISCO--()--Gali Health, a health technology company working to advance personalized medicine across chronic disease verticals, today announced the launch of its Gali AI-powered personal health assistant for people affected by inflammatory bowel diseases. Gali provides access to medically-vetted educational resources, health tracking and analytical tools, emotional support and connection to a knowledgeable IBD community. The Gali mobile application is now available for download from the Apple App Store for iOS devices and is free for all users.

In the United States alone IBD affects over 3 million people. Given the immense burden of self-managing their disease between clinical appointments, IBD patients are looking to adopt mobile solutions to help improve their health. However, existing technologies are unable to fully adapt to every patient’s diverse and complex IBD management needs. “Our design philosophy for Gali was to create a deeply personalized experience for people with IBD. Gali understands the importance of tailored self-management and works proactively with each person to provide support on the medical, lifestyle and psychological aspects of living with a chronic disease,” said Ilya Kupershmidt, founder and CEO of Gali Health.

Gali enables smarter disease communities by leveraging state-of-the-art AI technology to continuously learn from both patients and healthcare providers who contribute their unique insights and experiences to Gali’s knowledge base. She turns these insights into actionable collective intelligence while mobilizing personal health information to tailor her support to individual health journeys. Gali was designed in partnership with prominent IBD patient advocates as part of the Gali Ambassador Program.

“Gali Health truly empowers patients with its unique, community-centric approach to chronic disease management. We are excited to support the company’s vision of combining AI, health technologies and population sequencing to develop novel personalized solutions,” said Aydin Senkut of Felicis Ventures, an investor in Gali Health.

The company has also established a partnership with the Northern California Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation to advance education and support in the local IBD community.
