MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Walser Automotive Group opens the doors today to its second Subaru dealership in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro. This is the first Subaru dealership to come to the St. Paul market.
The dealership, located at 740 S. Concord Street in South St. Paul, features a nearly 50,000 square foot facility with 26 service bays. This is Walser Automotive Group’s second Subaru location and will employ 42 people to start.
Walser’s flagship location in Burnsville is a top volume dealer in the Twin Cities market. Walser Subaru St. Paul General Manager Jeff Holmquist said this was a factor in Walser’s award of this new open point by the manufacturer.
“Subaru is ready to grow their market in St. Paul, but more importantly they know how [Walser] takes care of its customers and how it engages in the community,” Holmquist said. Walser frequently partners with hometown charities like Rein in Sarcoma and Make-a-Wish Minnesota.
“This is a good partnership between Walser and Subaru’s culture. We’re excited to sell and service vehicles for South St. Paul and be involved and get to know this community.”
Uniquely, the new location also features an outdoor dog park for dog-loving customers. The store’s interior is also dog-friendly. The dog park will be completed in the weeks ahead.
The new location sits on a 10-acre site, which formerly housed Walser’s reconditioning center for its used car operations.
