NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Manduu, the first FDA-cleared, whole-body electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) technology in the U.S., announced that Mandy Oakes has joined the company as its Director of Client Experience with a dedicated focus on client service and retention.
With more than 10 years of experience serving as an athlete, fitness motivator and boutique gym owner, Oakes will use her fitness and customer service knowledge to enhance Manduu’s ability to offer groundbreaking workouts with extraordinary results.
“With our rapid growth and market expansion, we remain committed to delivering an innovative fitness program with a first-class client experience,” said Jason Ritzen, Manduu America’s CEO. “Mandy’s background in the fitness industry, coupled with her drive to help people enjoy healthier lives, will be an incredible asset to our executive team and our clients.”
Before opening the doors of her fitness studio and lifestyle brand, Sweat Franklin, in 2011, Oakes was a managing partner and communications director for ACTIVENOW.com, a national online resource for active and healthy living. Mandy is a competitive long-distance runner and a Certified Running Coach.
Oakes’ athletic background gives her unique insight into building well-balanced fitness programs that include the type of strength training cardio-focused athletes need—precisely the type they will find at Manduu.
“It has been my mission for more than a decade to share my excitement for wellness with others,” said Oakes. “I love seeing people improve their quality of life and relish the opportunity to continue to help people be their best in my role at Manduu.”
Oakes’ own health was greatly improved by Manduu. During a peak racing season in 2017, she went from perfect health to bedridden with a spinal infection that took six weeks for doctors to finally diagnose. Mandy suffered complete muscle atrophy and a disc ruptured in her lower back due to the infection.
“I heard about Manduu from a friend and gave it a try because it touted low impact strength training,” said Oakes. “I steadily began regaining my muscle mass over the next six months and I became a believer in the method. I am back to my ideal muscle mass and running long distances with ease.” Mandy will be harnessing the power of Manduu in October during her 25-mile trail run from rim to rim of the Grand Canyon.
Among Oakes’ many endeavors in the community, she is a key leader and fitness motivator with the City of Franklin and Williamson County’s Walk Across Williamson and Get Fit Franklin Initiatives.
