VANCOUVER, British Columbia & TORONTO--()--Last night, Slalom, alongside Vancity, was honoured to receive a 2019 Gold Channel Innovation Award for Best Data Management Solution for the digital transformation of Vancity, Canada’s largest community credit union.

The Channel Innovation Awards (CIA) is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of IT solution providers that have developed innovative products and services that help their customers thrive. The Data Management Award recognizes a state-of-the-art data management solution that enables end-users to integrate, cleanse, migrate, analyze, and manage data across platforms to produce accurate, consistent information in a clear and precise manner.

Slalom has a deep channel partnership with Microsoft, is a Microsoft Gold Partner, and was the 2018 Global Power BI Partner of the Year. For Vancity, Slalom employed a suite of Microsoft technologies including Azure Data Lake Services, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Services and Azure Power BI, integrated into an end-to-end Data Framework.

Slalom partnered closely with the Vancity team to create an award-winning, fast, transformation. The result was a beautifully consolidated and optimized cloud solution that improves time-to-market to ingest new data sources by 95 per cent, providing insights Vancity never had before.

“The Vancity transformation was a perfect alignment of technology innovation, a strong collaborative team of Vancity, Slalom and Microsoft team members, and an effective Agile delivery methodology to produce a truly amazing and transformative result," says Alan Poon, Client Service Partner, Slalom.
