CompPharma’s Joe Paduda to share advice on managing work comp pharmacy programs at CSIA’s 2019 Employer Summit, October 7

BURLINGAME, Calif.--()--Joe Paduda, president of CompPharma, a consulting firm focused on improving pharmacy programs in workers’ compensation, will take self-insured employers on “A Trip Behind the PBM Curtain” when he addresses the 2019 Employer Summit of the California Self-Insurer Association (CSIA) on October 7.

Paduda, who conducts an annual survey about payers’ pharmacy management programs, will discuss spread pricing, cost drivers, rebates and how they impact pharmacy costs. He will also cover other aspects of the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) industry, including a trend toward transparency pricing, clinical management, and lessons to be learned from PBM audits.

“Insight into PBMs’ business models and services will help employers become more informed buyers of pharmacy management services,” Paduda said.

Starting at 1:45 p.m. on October 7, Paduda’s session is part of the CSIA’s 2019 Employer Summit, which will be held at the San Francisco Airport Waterfront Marriott in Burlingame, California. Registration and other details can be found at https://www.caself-insurers.com/events.
