The study analyses the demand for One Time Programmable cards and components. It investigates the content delivery business and determined that many consumers still want to own a physical card for their content even though much of the industry downloads the content directly to their computer or mobile device. OTP cards compete against CDs and DVDs as a small form factor, low cost, and unalterable storage media for over thirteen applications.
These low to mid-density cards provide content storage for diverse applications like cell phones, games, toys, music players, movies or media players, promotions, recovery disks and archiving. Here the content provider wants easy access for the consumer but does not want the content changed.
