NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PVH Corp. [NYSE:PVH], one of the world’s largest apparel companies and owner of iconic brands, including CALVIN KLEIN, TOMMY HILFIGER, Van Heusen, Speedo*, and IZOD, announces a $3 million, three-year grant extension with Save the Children. This grant continues PVH’s support of early childhood development and early learning programs in the U.S., China, Bangladesh and India, as well as youth employability programming in Ethiopia.
The PVH Foundation began its partnership with Save the Children in 2005 and, in 2014, pledged a $5 million multi-year commitment to the organization’s early education programs. PVH has since engaged all of its businesses, regions, and divisions in supporting this important cause.
“The greatest gift we can give a child is education. The benefits of creating that foundation for early childhood education are undebatable,” said PVH Chairman & CEO Emanuel Chirico. “PVH’s partnership with Save the Children has had positive impacts on the communities where we live and operate, and we look forward to touching the lives of more children around the world with this additional support.”
Giving back is engrained in the way PVH does business. The three-year grant extension will continue to fund Save the Children’s programming in communities where PVH associates live and work, building a strong foundation for children to lead healthy, productive lives.
“Thank you to PVH Corp. for being a longtime partner of Save the Children,” said Carolyn Miles, CEO of Save the Children. “We are so grateful for their dedication to making change for children, and look forward to continuing our important work together to support children, youth, families and entire communities in the U.S., China, India, Bangladesh and Ethiopia.”
PVH associates engage in volunteer opportunities, including annual service trips, during which associates visit sites throughout the U.S. where Save the Children provides early education programming. This summer, associates volunteered at DeZavala Elementary School in Channelview, Texas, with Save the Children’s SummerBoost Camp.
PVH has supported Save the Children’s work and mission with nationwide, annual, in-store donation campaigns held since 2005 at CALVIN KLEIN, TOMMY HILFIGER, IZOD and Van Heusen stores.
