Congressman Moulton’s keynote address will focus on “How Washington's Leaders Can Help End the Mental Health Care Stigma,” and Congressman Marshall’s keynote address will focus on “Developing 21st Century Solutions to Address Health Care Spending and Affordability.”

Since arriving in Congress two terms ago, Congressman Seth Moulton has focused on starting a new generation of thinking in Congress on the economy, foreign policy, and mental health care. This June, Moulton disclosed that he was managing Post Traumatic Stress related to the four combat tours of duty he served in Iraq. By doing so he hoped to start a national conversation about mental health care. As part of the announcement, Moulton unveiled a plan to destigmitize mental health care that involves increasing mental health checkups for active-duty service members who fought in combat, establishing 9-8-8 as the national Mental Health Crisis Hotline and offering a mental health checkup to every high schooler in America.

Another member of Congress and confirmed WHCC20 speaker, Dr. Roger Marshall brings a depth of medical and family experience to his Congressional role. As an Obstetrician, Dr. Marshall has delivered more than 5,000 babies and is one of 14 doctors currently serving in Congress. “The health care system is complex and while some areas have improved, others have gotten worse,” said Marshall. “I want to focus consumer-driven, transparent, and innovative ways to lower costs, inject more choice into the system, and put people back in control of their health care decisions. WHCC20 is a great opportunity to discuss solutions to make health care less expensive and more effective.”

Congressmen Moulton and Marshall will join a faculty of distinguished, senior-level industry thought leaders setting the stage for engaging, dynamic conversations from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Spectrum Health, Alliance of Community Health Plans (ACHP), Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, CVS Health, GE Appliances (A Haier Company), Novant Health, Ascension Health Care, and more.

We invite you to join us at the 17th Annual World Health Care Congress on March 29-April 1, 2019 at the Marriott Wardman Park, Washington, DC.
