LAKELAND, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In the five days since announcing a register donation program to support Hurricane Dorian relief efforts, Publix customers and associates have donated more than $1 million during checkout.
One hundred percent of the funds donated at Publix registers will go to the American Red Cross. The organization will use the donations to respond to and help people recover from the disaster in the Bahamas. No end date has been announced for the program.
