New Southern-Style Restaurant Coming to Holiday Inn® – Houston Intercontinental Airport

Blue Dixie Kitchen to feature popular barbecue dishes and comfort food classics

HOUSTON--()--The Holiday Inn® – Houston Intercontinental Airport hotel has announced that it will renovate and re-imagine the onsite dining to Blue Dixie Kitchen -- a new Southern-inspired restaurant -- as part of a multimillion-dollar renovation underway at the 414-room hotel.

John Muller, General Manager for Holiday Inn – Houston Intercontinental Airport, said: “Blue Dixie Kitchen is Texas through and through. Guests will experience true Southern hospitality and feast on signature comfort-food dishes that are authentic and affordable.”

The Blue Dixie Kitchen’s location at 15222 John F Kennedy Boulevard next to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport makes the restaurant enticing for local and travelling guests.

Restaurant Highlights:

BDK BBQ Sauce and Dishes: The signature BDK BBQ Sauce will be featured on the Pulled Pork, Slow-Roasted Ribs and Beef Brisket. Available as a side dipping sauce or purchase to go.

Comfort Food: The chef’s homemade-style specialties of Pot Roast, Meatloaf, Catfish, and the Grilled Cheese Pork Belly Sandwich highlight the lunch and dinner menus, while the Fresh Pecan Torte and BDK Texas Sized Brownie headline the restaurant’s dessert offerings.

Local Beer and Domestic Favorites: Rotating Houston-based beers on tap seven days a week. Full bar including domestic and imported beer, California wines and hand-crafted cocktails.

Local and Traveler Focused: A $9 lunch special Monday through Friday geared to the guests working, living and staying in the North Houston area. Multiple power outlets and comfortable seating allow guests the flexibility to work while enjoying a meal.

Catering and ‘On-the-Go’: Catering for small and large groups with takeout and delivery options available seven days a week.

Blue Dixie Kitchen is replacing Good Eats Grill and is part of an extensive renovation at the Holiday Inn – Houston Intercontinental Airport property. Changes to the hotel include a new lobby and entry way, upgraded guest rooms, updated fitness center, volleyball and tennis courts, and a refurbished exterior. The hotel and restaurant will remain open during renovations, which are set to be completed by late 2019.
