CLARKSTON, Mich.--()--AIME, the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts, a non-profit, national trade membership association created exclusively for independent mortgage brokers, today announced a successful 2nd Annual National Mortgage Brokers Day, which spreads awareness of the growing popularity of using a broker to help potential homebuyers get a good deal on a mortgage. Yesterday, July 18, the morning began with AIME Chairman Anthony Casa on Cheddar TV's Morning Bell, which broadcasts from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

Throughout the day AIME and associates completed additional rounds of interviews with vital mortgage and housing finance publications, such as HousingWire, The MReport and MPA, during the second annual holiday.

“For the second year in a row, mortgage brokers are better,” said Anthony Casa, Chairman of AIME, “One out of three Millennial homebuyers now partner with a mortgage broker to help them finance their first home. Millennials are doing more research and finding mortgage brokers provide more savings, personalized service and no fees.”

AIME believes that Millennial homebuyers will push brokers into the fourth largest lending force, by volume, as early as next year. As Millennials look online for mortgages (more than 70 million still don't own a home yet), more and more want help to find a good deal on a loan.

AIME is using National Mortgage Brokers Day as an educational outreach on the benefits of working with a mortgage broker. After all, the mortgage broker works for the consumer, so their success is tied to the success of the consumer.

When a loan originator works for a bank, they’re only selling the products that that bank is offering a consumer. That’s a big reason why savings are so big with a broker. There’s a misconception that because you work with a mortgage broker there’s additional costs or fees; that’s not actually true, the mortgage broker is compensated by the lender and that does not vary based on the lender they go to. It’s solely based on the consumer.
