The Knot to Host New Wedding TV Special, I Do to the Venue, Premiering on FYI Network July 18, 2019

I Do to the Venue Follows Engaged Couples as They Set Out to Find the Perfect Venue for Their Wedding

NEW YORK--()--Today, The Knot—the leading wedding planning and registry resource in the US—announced The Knot Executive Editor Lauren Kay will host the new wedding TV special, I Do to the Venue, premiering on FYI Network at 8 p.m. ET on July 18, 2019. Produced by Anyday Collective and in partnership with Bloomingdale’s Registry, Spirits Network and Uber, I Do to the Venue follows recently engaged couples as they set out to find the perfect wedding location.

Each episode of I Do to the Venue follows one couple as they recount their love story, tour three prospective wedding venues, and ultimately make a big decision. On the premiere episode, Kay guides to-be-weds Maria and Trey through two wedding venues in NYC and one in New Jersey. He wants an urban chic wedding, she wants an elegant and traditional affair. Will they reach a compromise and say "I do" to a venue?

We’re beyond excited to host this compelling new TV show that highlights the first step in the wedding planning process: choosing a venue,” said Lauren Kay, executive editor of The Knot. “We see Maria and Trey figure out their personal wedding style with The Knot app, but like many engaged couples, they’re not exactly on the same page. I Do to the Venue brings to life one of the biggest, and most debated, decisions in the planning journey that an engaged couple must make, and we can’t wait to share it with America.”

Whenever I set out to tell a story, I’m looking for authentic ways to present the characters’ journey,” said Victoria Riess, executive producer and showrunner of I Do to the Venue. “As the go-to resource for couples beginning the wedding planning process, both The Knot and its Executive Editor Lauren Kay’s expertise and participation in our show isn’t just a happy partnership, it makes sense.”

I Do to the Venue premieres July 18th at 8 p.m. on the FYI Network. Check your local listings here.
