DUBLIN--()--The "Guidelines for Geometric Design of Low-Volume Roads, 2nd Edition" book has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com's offering.

This publication presents geometric design guidelines that help highway designers select appropriate geometric designs for roads with low traffic volumes. These guidelines may be used on low-volume local and minor collector roads in lieu of the applicable policies presented in the publication, "A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets", commonly known as the "Green Book."

These guidelines were first published in 2001 for application to "very low-volume" local roads and some collector roads, with design average daily traffic volumes of 400 vehicles per day or less. This second edition has been updated for application to all "low-volume" local and minor collector roads, with design average daily traffic volumes of 2,000 vehicles per day or less.
