MONTREAL--()--Moores Clothing for Men is proud to announce that it will kick off its 10th Annual Suit Drive on July 1 to 31, when consumers can donate gently-used professional clothing at Moores stores across Quebec. The Drive helps give disadvantaged men and women an opportunity to walk into a job interview with confidence—an essential step toward economic stability.

“I know the Moores Suit Drive has benefitted thousands of men and women throughout Quebec over the years – many of whom were our clients,” said Chris Quinn, Director of Support Services at the Old Brewery Mission. “We just assisted a young man with a donated suit and career counseling, who said that he secured employment and is looking forward to his new start.”

Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the Moores Suit Drive has collected close to half a million items of professional attire across Canada, and helped to dress hundreds of thousands of Canadians in need for job interviews. Donations are distributed nationally to more than 60 local recipient organizations that help people regain employment through job readiness programs, workforce assistance and gifting of professional attire. Quebec organizations include Old Brewery Mission, Relais d’Espérance, Accueil Bonneau, and Movement des personnes d'Abord Drummondville.

"A job interview is a time when we need to look and feel our best, and the Moores Suit Drive has helped so many men and women put their best selves forward during the interview process,” said Roger Assouad, Regional Manager, Quebec, Moores Clothing for Men. “The Drive has become recognized as an important cause across Quebec because it helps make a real difference to people’s lives who may not otherwise be able to afford a suit.”

Consumers can donate their gently-worn professional clothing, including men's and women's suits, ties, jackets, shirts, pants, belts and shoes to any 25 of the Moores stores located across Quebec, including downtown Montreal at 966 Ste. Catherine Ouest Ste, Drumondville at 55 Boul. St. Joseph and Boucherville at 582 Chemin De La Touraine. As a thank you, donors will receive 50 percent off their next purchase of regular priced retail items (excluding shoes, clearance, custom and Exceptional Value items).

Moores Suit Drive is Challenging Canadians to Donate via Social Media

#ThrowbackAndDonate: Throwback photos are a lot like your closet. They’re full of clothes you don’t wear anymore. The Moores Suit Drive is the perfect occasion to share those photos and donate that professional clothing for a good cause. That’s why, to help drive awareness of the Moores Suit Drive this year, @MooresClothing is encouraging followers to spread the word by using #ThrowbackAndDonate. To participate, Canadians can add #ThrowbackAndDonate #SuitDrive to a throwback post, then donate the clothes at a Moores store. Participants will receive 50 per cent off their next purchase and give someone the confidence to get their career back on track.
