Pre-Registration Opens for 2019 Flash Memory Summit

It’s the Year of NVMe, NVMe/TCP, Persistent Memory, and Computational Storage

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--()--Flash Memory Summit (FMS) opens pre-registration today for its 14th annual event, held August 6-8 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. More than 6,200 attendees and 120 exhibitors are expected at the industry’s premier showcase for storage technology.

At FMS 2019, storage designers will learn about the latest advances in memory technology including persistent memory, NVMe, NVMe/TCP, NVMe-oF, 3D and QLC flash, computational storage, AI/ML applications, and emerging non-volatile memory technologies such as MRAM and 3D XPoint.

Keynotes from industry leaders offer system designers the insight they need into important trends and the latest products. Speakers include major companies such as Toshiba Memory, Western Digital, Intel, Micron, SK hynix, Microchip, Xilinx, IBM, and Marvell. Joining them are emerging newcomers ScaleFlux, InnoGrit, FADU, and NGD Systems. FMS points the way to developing more powerful applications for enterprises, clouds, mega websites, high-performance computing, embedded systems, and automotive.

“We are now seeing the full impact of persistent memory, which offers storage at memory speeds, and of NVMe/TCP, which is the fastest solution for networked storage over Ethernet,” said Chuck Sobey, FMS Conference Chair. “The rapid move in all application areas to NVMe and 3D flash continues. Storage must become much bigger, faster, and cheaper to meet the challenges of big data, real-time analytics, cloud computing, AI, machine learning, and virtual and augmented reality. FMS empowers designers to make the right decisions for current projects and remains the best networking opportunity in the storage industry.”

Key FMS sessions cover 3D flash, RRAM, MRAM, life beyond flash, key-value stores and Kubernetes, controllers, composable infrastructure, computational storage, and persistent memory. Many sessions, including ones sponsored by NVMe®, the standards-setting group, offer the latest information on NVMe, NVMe/TCP, and NVMe-oF.

FMS features the most exciting products and offers the broadest coverage of a rapidly expanding market. The 2018 event drew over 6,200 registrants and 120 exhibitors. The conference also includes annual updates, market research sessions, performance testing results, an expert table session, and a VC Forum. FMS is the industry’s premier showcase for storage technology.
