With plans to hire for more than 20 open sales and marketing roles in Boston before the end of the year, Flock has recently appointed Ryan Kelly and Nick D’Ascensao as vice president of global marketing and vice president of global sales, respectively. They’ll lead the charge with Chief Revenue Officer Sam Mallikarjunan under Founder and Chief Executive Officer Bhavin Turakhia.
Turakhia is a serial entrepreneur and self-made billionaire who sees Boston as a breeding ground for his next major success with Flock, thanks to the availability of top-level talent and continued tech sector growth. He is already familiar with the Boston area, having sold a part of his company, Directi, to Burlington, Massachusetts-based Endurance International Group in 2014. Flock is the fourth company Turakhia has successfully bootstrapped, with two nine-figure exits over his career so far.

The new marketing and sales vice presidents will work with Mallikarjunan to support global expansion goals. D'Ascensao joins from ezCater and will expand Flock’s sales organization to support new revenue growth across the Americas, EMEA and APAC.
