CheckFree Pioneer Pete Kight Leads FI Navigator Series B Funding

ATLANTA--()--FI Navigator Corporation (www.fi-navigator.com), a web-based financial institution (“FI”) data and analytics platform for the banking vertical, announced the recent completion of a $2.5 million Series B investment. The investment round was led by Pete Kight, founder and former CEO of CheckFree Corp. and he was joined by Commerce Ventures, a leading early-stage, FinTech-focused firm. Other prominent venture capital and private investors also participated in the round.

The capital infusion comes at a time when FI Navigator is rapidly expanding its data and analytics offering to financial institutions and industry vendors and consultants. Bank and credit union executives can now leverage our FIN Advisor℠ and FIN Reporter℠ solutions to easily develop strategy or identify opportunities for profit enhancement, franchise growth, risk management and product offering additions. Industry vendors and consultants also leverage FI Navigator solutions to augment their financial institution client strategy, sales and marketing.

“I’ve known Steve Cotton since his pioneering efforts in banking analytics with BancIntelligence,” said Kight. “FI Navigator dramatically advances industry analytics closer to automated consulting with instant, comprehensive assessments of any financial institution. That unique ability has the potential to transform the B2Bank sales and consulting models.”

“Pete Kight inexorably altered the payments landscape through CheckFree which remains one of FinTech’s greatest success stories,” said Steve Cotton, CEO and founder of FI Navigator. “Pete continues to advance innovation in FinTech and possesses an uncommon ability to identify avenues of business model disruption. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the investments, support and insights from Pete, Commerce Ventures and our other distinguished strategic investors.”

“FI Navigator is uniquely relevant to our FinTech portfolio which focuses on the digital transformation of financial services,” said Dan Rosen, General Partner of Commerce Ventures. “FI Navigator has pioneered an innovative approach for extracting and presenting valuable data on America’s financial institutions and the technology platforms that enable them. We believe this data will help FIs assess their operations, make strategic decisions and identify important technology vendors and opportunities.”
