The Sohagi Law Group’s Nicole Gordon Among Los Angeles’ Most Influential Women Attorneys

LOS ANGELES--()--The Sohagi Law Group Partner Nicole Gordon is among today’s honorees in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s annual special supplement honoring 75 of the city’s most influential women lawyers.

Gordon’s work is primarily “advising public agencies on complex environmental and land use planning matters at the administrative, trial and appellate level,” says the special supplement, published today. “She focuses her practice on the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the federal and California Endangered Species Act (ESA) and Planning and Zoning Laws.”

The report adds that Gordon, a Middlebury College alum who obtained her J.D. from USC, “has played a key role in guiding local and state agencies through the CEQA and NEPA process on some of California’s highest profile projects. These include the City of Los Angeles/Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) $5.5 billion Landside Access Modernization Program at LAX, a new grand transportation system for LAX that will relieve congestion for people traveling to and from LAX in advance of the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.”

Los Angeles Business Journal Publisher and CEO Anna Magzanyan explained that the honorees have been recognized for “exceptional legal skill and achievement across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership as evidenced by the highest professional and ethical standards, and for contributions to the Los Angeles community at large… there are some particularly stellar attorneys in the LA region who happen to be women…thank you for working to keep the people and businesses of LA on the right track.”

Gordon’s experience includes complex renewable energy projects, transmission lines, harbor improvements, airport expansions, transportation improvements, and public works projects. She currently serves as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the California Lawyers Association (CLA). Gordon is a frequent lecturer on environmental matters at various public and private workshops, including courses and conferences sponsored by UCLA, the Association of Environmental Professionals, and the American Planning Association.
