BOISE, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kount, a leading fraud prevention solution, announced today it moved its global headquarters to downtown Boise, Idaho, at 1005 W. Main St. The move allows Kount to continue its rapid expansion, now employing more than 160 people and protecting digital innovation for 6,500 companies. The digital commerce fraud prevention company will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thurs. April 4, 2019, featuring Idaho Governor Brad Little, Idaho Department of Commerce Director Tom Kealey, and Kount founding CEO Brad Wiskirchen.
The “Kount Building” sits on the corner of 10th and Main Streets and allows room for the company to double its headcount. Kount has been remodeling the space for more than a year, including building a fifth floor on the over 100-year-old building. Wiskirchen’s vision for the building was a high-tech collaboration space that both incorporates the aged concrete and showcases modern features. To complement the state-of-the-art accommodations, the first floor offers new restaurants, a bodega, and a hair salon.
“Our new global headquarters is in an ideal location to help Kount continue our unmatched service to customers and partners, provide our team access to exceptional amenities, and attract premier talent. Kount is a global company with 6,500 customers doing business across 180+ countries and territories daily. Founded in Boise, Idaho, we are looking forward to being a part of the downtown neighborhood,” said Wiskirchen.
“Kount is a homegrown Idaho company, and we are proud to cheer them on as they continue down a path of expansion,” said Governor Brad Little. “Companies like Kount are creating jobs and demonstrating that Idaho is a place where innovation thrives. Together we are making Idaho the place our children and grandchildren want to stay.”
The need for a new headquarters was prompted by Kount’s growth over the past 12 years, outgrowing its previous home on Lusk St. Kount is the only fraud prevention solution created out of necessity, as the original technologies were created to combat digital commerce fraud at Boise-based company ClickBank. ClickBank founder Dr. Timothy Barber patented multi-layer device fingerprinting, the first of 29 patents to follow for Kount. In 2007, Barber, Wiskirchen, and team founded Kount. In 2016, it received an $80 million investment from CVC Capital Partners.
