DataRobot Enters as a Visionary in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms

BOSTON--()--DataRobot, the category creator and leader in automated machine learning, today announced that it was named a Visionary in Gartner’s 2019 Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms, recognized for completeness of vision. This recognition marks the first time DataRobot has been positioned in Gartner’s annual report.

The 17 data science vendors selected for the 2019 report had to meet revenue and customer count thresholds (by region and industry) and were scored on 15 critical capabilities across four use-case scenarios.

“We are proud to have been recognized as a Visionary by Gartner – especially with this being our first time in a Magic Quadrant report,” said Jeremy Achin, founder and CEO of DataRobot. “We believe that our Visionary position validates our role ushering in a new era of data science and machine learning. As the creator of automated machine learning, we uniquely enable organizations to democratize and accelerate their data science capabilities – and ultimately capture the insights needed to steer market-leading businesses. As we continue to scale and offer additional end-to-end data science capabilities, we look forward to helping more organizations around the world transform into AI-driven enterprises.”

2018 marked DataRobot’s third consecutive year of triple-digit growth. Having secured $100 million in Series D funding in October 2018 – bringing its total funding to $225 million – the company continues to invest in its category-defining automated machine learning solution. Building on its success working with customers spanning six continents and dozens of industries including financial services, healthcare, insurance and manufacturing, DataRobot also remains committed to expanding its reach into new markets.

Jameson Stillwell, senior statistician at Credigy, a DataRobot customer, said: "DataRobot is the best proprietary machine learning tool I have come across. It has freed up countless hours to focus on the more nuanced parts of modeling. As a result of having more time to challenge and improve our own modeling skills, the models we produce are always improving."
