Military Veteran Entrepreneurs Celebrate Completion of Startups Program Powered by Bunker Labs/WeWork

Cohort Will Host Veterans-In-Residence Showcase in San Francisco on January 23rd

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Since last fall, eight veterans and one military spouse, all company Founders, have participated in a unique startup accelerator program, gaining professional development experiences with ecosystem partners to grow their businesses. As part of a nationwide Veterans-In-Residence initiative, WeWork has hosted the Bunker Labs cohort in downtown San Francisco.

On Wednesday, January 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at WeWork Mid-Market at 995 Market Street, the cohort will host their final Capstone Event, showcase their products, demo their technologies and share what support they need going forward for their businesses to grow. Registration link is here.

"Per the SBA and U.S. Census Bureau, there are 2.52 million U.S. businesses that are majority-owned by military veterans," shared Erik Casarez, cohort member and Bunker Labs City Lead. "These businesses create $1.14 trillion in revenues annually - a massive contribution to our national economy. 252,377 veteran-owned businesses are in California. I’m proud to be one of the ambitious entrepreneurs hosted in San Francisco."

Members of the cohort, representing all branches of the U.S. armed forces, are:

Zoe Moore, Army veteran, Founder of LB Alliance, an event resource group with a blossoming portfolio of talented professionals ready to provide end-to-end support for corporate and startup clients.

Karl Burnett, Air Force veteran, Founder of Droan, an on-demand regional transportation company, manufacturing and operating a fleet of autonomous electric passenger aircraft.

Leo Madrid, Navy veteran, Founder of the P.E.A.C.E (People Evolve as Consciousness Expands) Museum, providing biodynamic quantum computing and AI interfaces for homes, offices and autos.

Ron Fulton, Army veteran, Founder, Cyber Soldier, Inc., an accredited cyber security, IoT, blockchain and risk management training company providing dynamic resource optimization, asset protection and enterprise foresight to secure and manage today’s ever-changing digital attack surfaces: people, applications and data.

Graciela Tiscareño-Sato, Air Force veteran, Founder of Gracefully Global Group LLC, an Educational Services provider and Publisher of bilingual digital courses and award-winning literature (including the Captain Mama brand of children’s books); Graciela delivers keynotes and presentations nationwide to inspire students from Kindergarten through College, in English and Spanish.

Brian Ross, Army veteran, Founder at Infrashares, an investment crowdfunding platform providing alternative infrastructure finance for public agencies delivering critical infrastructure such as roads, bridges, mass transit, renewable energy projects, and water treatment facilities.

Erik and Rebecca Casarez, Army veteran and military spouse, Co-Founders of Green Ledger CPA, an established accounting and tax preparation company that delivers expert bookkeeping, financial accounting and tax services needed by all startups and small businesses.

Kristopher Floyd, Marine Corps veteran, Founder of TeamMate, a data-driven social media platform for the health and fitness space that uses blockchain technology to monetize data for users.
