NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wealth Technologies Inc. (WealthTechTM), the leading provider of algorithmic financial planning and advice, announced today that Seth Masters, former CIO of AllianceBernstein, has joined the company’s board of advisors.
Prior to joining WealthTech, Seth Masters was Chief Investment Officer at AllianceBernstein for over two decades, where he managed the firm’s private client portfolios and led teams that provided customized wealth planning and advice. Before that, Masters was CIO for Asset Allocation, overseeing the firm’s Dynamic Asset Allocation, Target Date, Target Risk and Indexed services. More recently, he has been an advisor and mentor for early stage FinTech companies that apply artificial intelligence, machine and deep learning, big data and other enabling technologies to create marketable new products. In his role as a strategic advisor at WealthTech, Masters will counsel WealthTech’s leadership team on topics such as wealth management, advisory methodologies, econometrics, and risk management.
Masters is passionate about engineering better outcomes for investors by combining a strategic vision about what’s possible with a pragmatic understanding of what’s feasible. “WealthTech is applying quantitative methods to personal finance that have previously been seen only in professional investing and trading,” said Seth Masters, WealthTech Advisor. “WealthTech’s approach is unique and provides a path to growth for the wealth management industry as it seeks to serve more people.”
Since its founding in 2016, WealthTech has developed the technology to generate professional financial planning and advice for individuals regardless of their level of wealth, and to deliver this advice in a timely manner through both mobile applications and human-advised businesses. WealthTech’s flagship product, fGPSTM (Financial Goal Positioning SystemTM), is a comprehensive system that generates turn-by-turn advice and decision support with respect to cash flow, asset allocation, and investment risk, all in the context of financial goals. This year WealthTech also launched the Customized Investment Manager (CIM), a set of automated trading tools designed to help investment advisors customize and automate the delivery of their products. In less than six months since its release, CIM is helping one partner to provide monthly guidance to over 200,000 individuals.
“The only way professional planning and advice will reach more people is through applied technology that allows human advisors and emerging digital players to be significantly more productive,” said Rohit D’Souza, co-founder of WealthTech. “Seth’s experience in this industry is unparalleled and his input will be critical to the evolution of our product.”
