The findings of the 2018 Profitero and Kantar Consulting eCommerce Benchmarking survey underscore the essential role of third parties to drive eCommerce performance, with brands increasingly leaning on agencies to support critical eCommerce functions. 66% of brands surveyed outsource eCommerce SEO to agencies and 57% outsource content management. These two areas most require heavy specialization and are hard to build in-house.
