ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) has awarded John W. "Jack" Betkoski III the NAWC Water Droplet in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the water sector. The NAWC Water Droplet is awarded to individuals that have made exceptional contributions to the industry and whose life work has been dedicated to ensuring access to safe, reliable and affordable water service. The award was presented to Betkoski by the association's leadership during an NAWC dinner at the Orlando Science Center.
Betkoski is Vice Chairman of Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) on which he has served since 1997. He just completed his term as President of the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners (NARUC) and is a former President of the New England Conference of Public Utilities Commissioners (NECPUC). Betkoski is also a former member of the Connecticut General Assembly. During his career, Betkoski has focused on the intersection of water and energy policy, helping develop best practices across both sectors.
