project44 Named One of the Most Innovative Companies in Freight

Amazon, project44 and Tesla lead the Freight.Tech 25 awards list

CHICAGO--()--project44 (p44), the leader in advanced visibility for shippers and third-party logistics firms, today announced it was named a top 25 Freight.Tech company by the FreightWaves Research Institute. The awards recognize the most innovative and disruptive companies in freight. In this inaugural year, project44 ranked #2 with the top three companies being Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) and project44, followed by Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA).

The voting for the Freight.Tech 25 started with a list of more than 500 nominations. That list was pared down to the Freight.Tech 100, which was announced in October 2018. To identify the top 25, the Freight.Tech 100 were judged and ranked by an external panel of industry executives, academics and investors in a process overseen and certified by accounting firm Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM).

“project44’s recognition as the most innovative freight company second only to Amazon cements that we will not merely participate in this newly developed visibility category, but will define, grow and lead it as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible,” commented project44 founder and CEO Jett McCandless. “This award is a testament to the outstanding partnership we have with our customers and the incredibly talented p44 team that has worked with passion, grit and resourcefulness to distinguish ourselves as the leading logistics technology provider, both now and in the future.”

In just three years since launching its first product, project44 has rapidly expanded its advanced visibility platform to keep pace with the growing needs of customers who require accurate and predictive visibility into their global, multimodal transportation operations. With more than 200 customers, the technology company’s innovative cloud-based platform connects, automates and provides real-time visibility into key transportation processes--increasing its customer’s operational efficiencies, reducing costs, improving shipping performance, and enabling more superior customer experiences.

“project44 has achieved rapid growth in terms of customers, product scope, staff, and investment. Being crowned one of top five members of the Freight.Tech 25 solidifies the massive impact that the organization has already had on modernizing and digitizing the freight industry, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds,” commented Arlen Stark, EVP of the FreightWaves Research Institute.

To become a part of one of the fastest growing and most innovative companies in logistics, join the project44 team.
