Swanky Smiles Hires the General Counsel of the American Association of Orthodontists and an OrthoFi Co-Founder

Rapidly expanding company serves 2,000+ patients in 45 markets

SPRINGDALE, Ark.--()--Swanky Smiles, a mobile concierge orthodontic startup, has added Kevin Dillard, formerly general counsel of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), and Nathan Gudritz, formerly chief technology officer and co-founder of OrthoFi, to the Swanky Smiles executive team.

Kevin Dillard will serve as general counsel at Swanky Smiles where he will oversee all legal aspects of the business, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract management, and governmental advocacy programs. During his 17-year career at AAO he served as the government relations director, in-house counsel and general counsel. He created and co-hosted the podcast series The Business of Orthodontics and has presented legal courses for hundreds of orthodontic residents across the country as well as served as a national spokesperson.

“I’m excited to join the Swanky Smiles team—I see it as the gold standard for combining patient care and treatment with convenience,” explains Dillard. “The AAO is an organization that represents the tradition and history of orthodontics, and I see Swanky Smiles as the future. We combine excellent patient care with the convenience the market now demands.”

Nathan Gudritz will serve as chief technology officer at Swanky Smiles where he will lead tech strategy and product development. Prior to joining Swanky Smiles, Nathan spent five years as the chief technology officer at OrthoFi, a software and service solution that increases patient access to orthodontic care and provides orthodontic practices with services including business growth, insurance eligibility and processing, billing and collections, and analytics. During his time at OrthoFi, Gudritz established the software and tech strategy for the company and built a team of 60 people in product development, supporting OrthoFi’s growth to 200 employees.

"During my time with OrthoFi, I was able to see the positive impact that innovation, centered around helping patients gain access to quality orthodontic care, can have on the industry,” explains Gudritz. “As I learned more about Swanky Smiles and their determination to deliver the highest quality of treatment, and not just a concierge treatment service, I decided it was a no-brainer to join the team."

Swanky Smiles serves over 2,000 patients across seven states and 45 markets. To learn more about Swanky Smiles, visit www.swankysmiles.com.
