DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Marconi is pleased to announce that Ilkka Rahnasto has joined the Company as Senior Vice President. Together with other IP leaders formerly with Ericsson, Google, Motorola, Qualcomm and Texas Instruments, Rahnasto will be part of the Marconi management team and play a vital role in driving the creation of platforms across existing and new technology verticals.
With more than 20 years of experience in senior leadership positions, his in-depth knowledge in all aspects of the intellectual property space and business expertise will be invaluable in helping realize Marconi’s vision of transforming the fundamentals of patent licensing.
Rahnasto joins Marconi from Nokia, where he has helped to build one of the most successful patent licensing businesses. Most recently, he has served as Senior Vice President of Nokia Technologies, and led the company’s licensing and patent management efforts globally, with patent and brand licensing revenue growing to more than EUR 1.6 billion in 2017.

Rahnasto holds a PhD in Law from the University of Helsinki and an LLM from The George Washington University Law School in Washington D.C.
