SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Moogsoft, a pioneer and leading provider of artificial intelligence for IT operations (AIOps), announced today it has welcomed Amer Deeba as Chief Operating Officer and Raman Kapur as Chief Financial Officer. They follow the recent additions of Will Cappelli as CTO EMEA and Global VP of Product Strategy, and Ranvir Wadera as SVP of Engineering.
Moogsoft’s growing leadership team will support recent company momentum and product expansions, including its popular AIOps platform used by enterprises worldwide and its new industry-first technology, Moogsoft Observe, which was recently announced at the second annual AIOps Symposium in San Francisco. Moogsoft Observe is the only technology in the world that ingests time-series and metrics data in real-time and applies AI to detect incidents at the source of the problem, providing IT teams with absolute visibility and total observability of customer-impacting problems wherever they occur.
In his 17-year tenure at Qualys where he served as Chief Commercial Officer, Amer Deeba helped the company become a leader in building and delivering a cloud-based cyber security platform adopted by thousands of organizations worldwide. Formerly VP of Finance at Splunk, Raman Kapur was a key member of the finance team that helped prepare the company to go public and scale its business model. He brings over 20 years of experience in the areas of corporate finance, investor relations, treasury, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
“Amer and Raman are joining Moogsoft at a pivotal time, when we see the market coming our way due to the increasing adoption of AIOps solutions, and the strong desire for enterprises to consolidate their service monitoring approaches and build team-driven, event resolution and management solutions to scale with their digital transformation efforts,” said Phil Tee, Chairman and CEO of Moogsoft. “Amer brings to Moogsoft extensive go-to-market experience from his tenure at Qualys, while Raman brings from Splunk a unique blend of operational and public markets experience in the areas of FP&A, investors relations, and treasury. We are delighted to welcome both Amer and Raman to Moogsoft.”
“I am thrilled to be joining the Moogsoft team as Chief Operating Officer at this exciting time,” said Deeba, previously Chief Commercial Officer at Qualys. “Moogsoft is stepping up to solve true enterprise pain points such as digital transformation and cloud migration, while advancing incident and event management to help IT teams fix problems faster through increased collaboration and operator efficiency.”
The executive appointments follow Moogsoft’s Series D funding, announced earlier this year. Additionally, Moogsoft recently achieved the Amazon Web Services Cloud Management Tools Competency status and was named one of the Best Workplaces 2018 by Inc. Magazine.
“As someone who has been in the technology space for nearly two decades, I’m excited by what I’ve seen Moogsoft achieve in the AIOps industry,” said Kapur, previously VP of Finance at Splunk. “In my former position, I was able to be a part of growing the business from $30 million to $1.5 billion, and I’m eager to apply those experiences to growing Moogsoft.”
