NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Veterans on Wall Street (VOWS), a consortium of more than 100 firms, including presenting sponsors HSBC, Citi and Wells Fargo & Co., today announced the eighth annual Veteran Symposium will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, 2018 at Fordham University School of Law at the Lincoln Center Campus. General Martin Dempsey, the 18th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will serve as keynote speaker.
The Veteran Symposium brings veterans and military spouses together with corporate leaders from the financial industry, government/military representatives and support organizations. The event convenes leading thinkers and stakeholders to discuss and explore key issues related to veterans entering the civilian workforce, with a focus on veteran retention.
The full-day event will include panel discussions on various topics such as transition programs, career entry points and veteran entrepreneurship, as well as workshops to help veterans learn practical skills, such as leveraging LinkedIn to find career opportunities and building strong resumes.
