BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intellectual property law firm Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks, P.C. today announced that shareholder Chelsea Loughran has been recognized as one of 2018’s “Top Women of Law.” Each year, Lawyers Weekly comes together with the Mass Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts to celebrate the achievements of exceptional women attorneys who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in the legal field in the areas of pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business. Chelsea will be honored at the 2018 Top Women of Law Awards Gala in Boston on October 18, 2018.
“Chelsea is a leader at the firm and in the greater Boston legal community because of her passion for mentoring junior attorneys, developing and managing relationships with high-tech companies and research institutions, and delivering top-quality analysis and advocacy for her clients, both inside and outside the courtroom,” said Michael Albert, chair of the Litigation Group at Wolf Greenfield. “By inspiring others to meet her high standards for cutting-edge analysis of complex legal and technology issues, Chelsea is making significant strides in the retention and promotion of future leaders at the firm and in the larger legal community.”
Chelsea serves as the day-to-day shareholder-level manager of several complex patent litigation matters, including ITC investigations. She also works on post-grant patent matters, including inter partes review proceedings. In addition, as a member and Chair of Wolf Greenfield’s Public Service Committee, Loughran has helped advance the Firm’s pro bono program, creating new pro bono opportunities for younger attorneys each year. She also sits on the Board and Executive Committee of Greater Boston Legal Services (“GBLS”) and participates as a pro bono volunteer for the Women’s Bar Foundation’s Family Law Project. Chelsea is passionate about encouraging colleagues to get involved with pro bono work and mentors young associates as they take on their own pro bono matters.
Chelsea received a J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law, a master’s degree in public health from the Tufts University School of Medicine, and a B.S. from Brown University. In addition to serving on the Board and Executive Committee of GBLS, she is also member of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts and the Federal Circuit Bar Association. She is actively involved in the Association for University Technology Managers and serves as a volunteer pro bono attorney for the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation Project.
