Banks Partner to Award $8K to Austin-Area Financial Literacy Program

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Horizon Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $8,240 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Financial Literacy Coalition of Texas (FLCCT) to help offset costs associated with organizational capacity building.

Local dignitaries and bank representatives will attend a check presentation at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Horizon Bank’s offices at 600 Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. The media is encouraged to attend.

FLCCT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization dedicated to providing personal money and credit management education in Central Texas.

The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions like Horizon Bank to make a contribution of $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas will match at a 3:1 ratio.
