Begun more than 90 years ago as a pastry shop in Bolzano, Italy, Loacker is now a global player selling wafers and chocolates specialties, coffee, waffles and patisserie in cafés and stores across more than 100 countries worldwide. As its global footprint has grown, so has the need for a centralized system to manage data on its numerous products to serve its many customers and partners – including retailers, wholesalers, distributors and its own retail stores.

Loacker will use the Stibo Systems Product MDM solution to centralize data on thousands of staged products, as well as data on its many points of sale. Deployed as a cloud solution, the software will provide direct access to data via key external product syndication networks, enabling the company’s multitude of customers and channel partners to optimize and standardize their own processes and sales channels. Loacker contracted with regional consultancy company abilex of Stuttgart, Germany – an expert in product information management, digital asset management and digital transformation – to implement the Stibo Systems solution.
