DXC Technology Awarded a 2018 Leading Disability Employer Seal by the National Organization on Disability (NOD)

TYSONS, Va.--()--DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), the world’s leading independent, end-to-end IT services company, has been awarded the 2018 Leading Disability Employer Seal™ by the National Organization on Disability (NOD). The Leading Disability Employer recognition, now in its third year, is awarded to companies that demonstrate exemplary employment practices for people with disabilities.

“Inclusion and diversity are critical success factors in DXC’s transformation journey, and we are honored to be named a 2018 Leading Disability Employer by NOD,” said Jo Mason, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, DXC Technology. “We are passionate and committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace that drives our innovation, powers our results, and makes us stronger, together.”

The NOD Leading Disability Employer Seal™ is awarded based on data furnished by companies in response to NOD’s Disability Employment Tracker™, a free and confidential assessment that benchmarks companies’ disability inclusion programs in the following areas:

  • Climate and culture
  • People practices
  • Talent sourcing
  • Workplace and technology
  • Strategy and metrics

“Our success in a global economy depends, now more than ever, on how well we inspire and put to use the talent and energies of every person in this country — every talent, every skill, every ability,” said NOD Chairman Tom Ridge. “For more than 35 years the National Organization on Disability has served as a bridge-builder to the wider world of employment and independence for the 57 million Americans with disabilities.”

Company responses to the NOD tracker are scored considering both disability employment practices and performance. Scoring prioritizes practices that are associated with increased disability employment outcomes over time, and companies receive additional points based on the percentage of people with disabilities in their workforce.

The Disability Employment Tracker™ was developed by NOD in partnership with the National Business & Disability Council (NBDC) at The Viscardi Center.

DXC also recently released its latest Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report for fiscal year 2018, which details the company’s achievements in inclusion and diversity. The report is now available online.

DXC strives to empower employees for optimal engagement with their teams and clients to achieve strategic results and encourages diversity and inclusion initiatives as part of the company’s overall corporate responsibility efforts. For more information, visit DXC Inclusion and Diversity.
