Only Two Weeks Left to Nominate Indiana High School Students for Sallie Mae’s $25,000 College Scholarship

Deadline for School Counselors and Community Leaders to Nominate Indiana High School Juniors and Seniors for Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program is Sept. 27

NEWARK, Del.--()--Only two weeks remain for local community leaders and high school counselors to nominate high school juniors or seniors in Indiana for a $25,000 Bridging the Dream Scholarship from Sallie Mae, the nation’s saving, planning, and paying for college company. Counselors and community leaders can complete the application at SallieMae.com/BridgingTheDream now through Sept. 27. One of the scholarships is reserved for a student in Indiana, home to more than 400 Sallie Mae employees.

The ideal candidate should be an Indiana high school junior or senior who excels in academics, athletics, community service, or school activities, but whose financial circumstances or other obstacles in life may not allow him or her to pursue a college education. The simple nomination process requires two, 200-word essays that highlight contributions inside and outside the classroom and any issues that may prevent a student from attending college.

“Indiana is home to remarkable students who are aspiring to turn the dream of college into a reality,” said Martha Holler, senior vice president, Sallie Mae. “Over the next two weeks, we urge high school counselors and leaders throughout the community to nominate a deserving student, and together, we’ll help make college happen!”

To nominate a high school junior or senior, or for more information, visit SallieMae.com/BridgingTheDream. Nominations will be accepted until Sept. 27 at 12 p.m. EDT. See official rules. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law.
