Glancy Prongay & Murray LLP Announces Investigation of Zebra Technologies Corporation

NEW YORK--()--Glancy Prongay & Murray LLP (www.glancylaw.com) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of Zebra Technologies Corporation (“Zebra” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: ZBRA), concerning whether the board has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders.

Zebra is a leader in the Automatic Identification and Data Capture (“AIDC”) market, including mobile computing, data capture, radio frequency identification devices (“RFID”), barcode printing, and other automation products and services.

In April 2014 Zebra announced the acquisition of its competitor Motorola Incorporated’s Enterprise division. As a result of the acquisition Zebra faced monumental costs of integration of the Motorola business, but concealed such costs, and instead touted cost savings resulting from the merger. Ultimately, Zebra was required to spend $200 million to integrate the Motorola business. The falsely reported synergy and integration costs forced Zebra to restate its financial reporting for all of 2015 and the first two quarter of 2016.

Our investigation concerns whether the Company board of directors has breached its fiduciary duties to shareholders, grossly mismanaged the Company, and/or committed abuses of control in connection with the foregoing.
