Tierra Nueva names former Snyder’s-Lance executive Matt Insolia Chief Sales Officer, Business to Consumer

His mission is to rapidly grow Tierra Nueva’s retail revenue by commercializing existing and future product solutions through manufacturing and distribution agreements

MIAMI--()--Former Snyder’s-Lance executive Matt Insolia has been named Chief Sales Officer, Business to Consumer, for Miami-based Tierra Nueva Technologies LLC, which has globally launched various unique formats for branded and private-labeled coffee thins, spreads, squares and other true coffee ingredient products using 100 percent of the coffee bean.

Insolia, a former senior vice president of sales with Snyder’s-Lance and a member of its executive leadership team, is a global sales and operations executive and profit-and-loss leader with a record of accelerating growth and enhancing profitability. His mission is to rapidly grow Tierra Nueva’s retail revenue by commercializing existing and future product solutions.

Tierra Nueva is majority owned by Tampa-based private equity firm ProspEquity Partners, led by Managing Partner and CEO Christopher D. Ramonetti.

Insolia has built high-level relationships and developed contract manufacturing and distribution agreements to tap into new markets, channels and key accounts both domestically and internationally. His experience also includes rapid e-commerce expansion as well as identifying, negotiating and integrating acquisitions.

“Matt combines his financial and operational acumen with a broad consumer and multicultural understanding,” said David G. Burke, CEO of Tierra Nueva. “He is a servant leader who develops individuals, inspires teams and builds alignment around corporate vision and strategy. He immediately accelerates the great progress that Liza Martinez-Moles, our vice president of sales and operations, has established at Tierra Nueva.”

At Snyder’s-Lance, Insolia led sales for a $2.5 billion organization before its acquisition by Campbell’s. He began his career with the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo, and has served on the Georgia Food Industry Association’s board of directors and the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

“This is a terrific opportunity to dramatically grow Tierra Nueva and capitalize on the technical capabilities of the company,” Insolia said. “I’m energized and enthused about its acceleration, and happy to help Liza shoulder the business-to-consumer load, lead and win business.”

Tierra Nueva employs more than 80 at its 42,000-square-foot SQF3, kosher and Halal certified facility in Miami, which opened in 2009.
