FranklinCovey and Kaleidoscope Pictures Awarded Grand Stevie and Eight Additional Stevie Awards for Exceptional Films

Films from FranklinCovey’s Leadership Solutions Stand Out Among Nominees for American Business Awards

SALT LAKE CITY--()--In the continued tradition of content excellence, Franklin Covey Co. (NYSE: FC), is excited to announce that films from its leadership and performance improvement solutions have been awarded a Grand Stevie Award and eight additional gold, silver and bronze Stevie Awards as part of the Stevie Awards® 16th Annual American Business Awards.

The Grand Stevie Awards competition tallies award points based upon the number of gold, silver or bronze Stevie Awards organizations earn. Organizations are awarded Grand Stevie Awards based upon the total number of award points they accumulate.

FranklinCovey’s gold, silver and bronze awards were centered around films from two of its newest leadership performance improvement solutions: Clayton Christensen Signature: Find Out Why – The Key to Successful Innovation and The 4 Essential Roles of Leadership™. Both solutions are available within the FranklinCovey All Access Pass®.

The FranklinCovey All Access Pass is an annually renewable pass which provides passholders with unlimited access to FranklinCovey’s entire collection of best-in-class content. Passholders are able to assemble, integrate and deliver FranklinCovey’s content in an almost limitless combination through various delivery channels — live, live-online, on demand and integrated into existing training offerings.

“Our exceptional partnership with Kaleidoscope Pictures has allowed us over many years to produce meaningful, message driven films to enhance our solutions and to reinforce the key leadership principles at the core of our offerings,” said Adam Merrill, FranklinCovey Executive Vice President, Innovations. “Our solutions have always focused on enabling the greatness of people and organizations everywhere, and these films are the perfect complement to this purpose. They are deeply engaging and clearly represent the unique power of our content and solutions to help clients achieve their key business objectives. Our All Access Pass passholders can utilize these award-winning films to further engage their teams, to empower their leadership, and to create a winning culture.”

“As visual storytellers, it's a great honor to bring compelling content alive,” said John Foss, Kaleidoscope film director. “We are so grateful for our longstanding relationship with FranklinCovey and look forward to the films we will create together in the future.”

FranklinCovey’s leadership solution, Clayton Christensen Signature: Find Out Why – The Key to Successful Innovation is based on 25 years of research and practice by Clayton Christensen, Harvard Business School professor and one of the world’s most influential business leaders, and Bob Moesta, an insightful practitioner and developer of over 3,000 product innovations. The solution is also based, in part, on the best-selling book, Competing Against Luck, co-authored by Clayton M. Christensen, Taddy Hall, Karen Dillon and David S. Duncan.

Films from Find Out Why garnered five awards in total; two gold, one silver and two bronze awards. Judges notes from review sessions reflect the predominant sentiment around FranklinCovey’s films.

“FranklinCovey once again tells a beautiful story with beautiful images and production. It is just magnificent in every way. I wish I could provide a suggestion for improvement, but it doesn’t get better.”

FranklinCovey’s leadership solution, The 4 Essential Roles of Leadership, is the product of a two-year research project conducted by FranklinCovey to understand the most vital leadership roles. Based on more than 100,000 interviews with organizational and learning leaders, its analysis and synopsis of leadership studies worldwide, and its work with more than one million leaders in organizations of all sizes, the solution was developed to respond to the need for leaders to be “ready now” to lead their respective teams and organizations.

The need for these types of leaders has been accelerated by the significant demographic shift in the marketplace, where older leaders are rapidly moving to retirement and younger leaders and associates now make up the biggest demographic group in the workplace. An under-investment in leadership development during the global recession means that many leaders are often in leadership roles years before they receive meaningful leadership development.

The well-researched, relevant solution provides leaders with a deeper understanding of key leadership principles which will enable them to better lead themselves and their teams to achieve sustained, superior performance. Its inclusion in the FranklinCovey All Access Pass, allows passholders to easily engage in the solution, equipping their mid-to senior-level leaders to face and conquer the daily challenges they encounter within their teams and organizations.

Films from The 4 Essential Roles of Leadership garnered three awards in total; two silver and one bronze award. These awards helped FranklinCovey sweep the motivational category of the Stevie Video Awards.

“If I could give this higher than a 10 I would,” said a member of the 4 Essential Roles of Leadership judging panel. “Beautiful, touching, inspiring and a useful/great message. A+.”

FranklinCovey has made nearly all of its individual and leadership effectiveness solutions available within All Access Pass. The Access Pass was initially available on a small scale in early 2016, rolling out targeted availability to clients, while adding new solutions and functionality to its web portal. The company has since seen breakout success with the All Access Pass subscription service model, bringing greater flexibility and results to clients.

Passholders also have exclusive access to an implementation specialist — an expert in FranklinCovey’s solutions — and other services to ensure they are unleashing the full scope and power of All Access Pass to achieve their key business objectives. FranklinCovey’s All Access Pass uses a cost-per-population model, which lowers the cost barrier and creates a strong value proposition for clients, while increasing the flexibility and availability of learning to their teams and organizations.
